Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence are back to complete their first season of Melissa & Joey (Wednesdays, 8:00 p.m. ET/PT, ABC Family).
The actress says she’s fully enjoying her time on the set – especially considering she leaped straight away from two other sitcoms without an audience. That is until she performed on Dancing with the Stars – which she considered to be a pressure-cooker.
And in the video below, she explains why she loves working on the series, along with how her son is starting to show signs of being bitten by the acting bug. While Joey Lawrence – sporting a full head of hair after years of shaving his head – admits he grew it back just to prove he didn’t have male pattern baldness.
Both Lawrence and Hart started out as child actors and, unlike some of their contemporaries, they’ve transitioned easily into adult roles. They credit an early work ethic and love for their craft as the reason they’ve thrived in show biz.
