Jeff Conaway, who starred in the popular TV series Taxi and the hit film Grease died today after being taken off 16 days of life support.
The talented actor had battled various addiction problems (that allegedly got him fired from the Taxi series) where he finally ended up on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.
Conaway entered the show intoxicated from Jack Daniels and cocaine, in a wheelchair (from his severe back issues) and later said he wanted suicide.
During the show, Conaway said that as a child in New York City he had been often bullied and at seven was the victim of pedophiles and pornographers. He revealed that he had been an addict since his teens.
The official report is that Conaway died of pneumonia and sepsis, a bacterial blood poisoning.
On May 11, Conaway fell unconscious and hospitalized from a pain pill drug overdose (his manager said). He was just 60.
