JESSE JAMES WANTS TO PUNCH HIMSELF IN THE FACE

Men's Journal

Jesse James opens up about his marriage with Sandra Bullock (“I was never 100 percent in,” he says), his anger addiction, and his unapologetic love for Kat Von D, in an interview with Men’s Journal.

“I never shied away from anything I did,” James says of cheating on Bullock. “I took full responsibility. I cheated on my wife. Guess what? So do millions of other men.”

Of course James has a point; billions of men don’t cheat on their wives but they’re not cool, hip and aware like JesseHitler was a sensitive artist, strict vegetarian, tree-hugger, didn’t smoke, loved his dog, Wolf and was untrue to his mistress Eva.  Had they only accepted him in that Vienna art school he might have been a hippy hero.

Following reports of his infidelity, James did not speak out right away. “People assumed I was a d**k because I didn’t defend myself,” he tells the magazine. In March 2010, James entered rehab. “I went in thinking, all these people in this place? They are really f****d up,” he says. “I figured out pretty fast I was the fucked-up one. I realized I was addicted to anger. And it was going to be up to me to straighten my s**t out.”

Addicted to anger…Really…?

On attending L.A. functions with Bullock and making small talk: “I’d just talk to them about NPR. ‘Did you hear Diane Rehm today?’ I tried to fit into that mold. I look back at who I was then, and I want to punch myself in the face.”

Now he’s making sense.

On Christians trying to save him: “Christians are always hitting me up. They all want to save me. I get it. I’m evil. Someone left a note on my car once. It said, ‘Will you party in hell?’ Probably. Hell’s likely not that bad. It’s probably like Phoenix. You know how s**t gets exaggerated.”

That’s it, demonize those damned Christians.

On being unapologetic for publicly expressing his love for Kat Von D: “Back when I was listening every day to some new person say what a f***up I was, I hit the wall. I had a day where I was literally wondering how much more of this I could take. And one person reached out. Guess who that was? Everyone else thought I was toxic. The fact that Kat is willing to be with me now? And get demonized in the tabloids for it? God, I really love her.”

Did the counterculture produce anything good?
