Malcolm McDowell was given a long-overdue honor Friday with a star bearing his name on Hollywood Blvd.
The star of A Clockwork Orange was joined for the ceremony by colleagues, Gary Oldman, Rob Zombie, Mark Paul Gosselaar and Director Mike Kaplan, who all took turns praising the actor.
McDowell stars next in The Monster Butler to be produced by Dark House Films, first as a theatrical released and then later distributed by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment.
In honor of McDowell receiving his star, The American Cinematheque is hosting an in-person tribute at the Egyptian Theatre showing his most iconic film, Stanley Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange as well as Nicholas Meyer’s Time After Time (McDowell plays H.G. Wells in the pic).
A Q&A takes place between films with McDowell and Mary Steenburgen. The tribute continues through March 19th at the Aero Theater.
For tickets and info log onto American Cinematheque.
McDowell’s star is the 2465th on the Walk of Fame and is located in front of the Pig ‘n Whistle British pub, 6714 Hollywood Blvd.
