What a great way to kick off the new season of The Middle (8:00 p.m. ET/PT, ABC) – Ray Romano checked in for a guest starring role.
Patricia Heaton, who starred as Romano‘s wife Debra Barone on the hit sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond, says that Romano is portraying the former best friend of her current on-screen husband Mike (Neil Flynn).
In the video below, Heaton tells EntertainmentHeartbeat.com that Romano appeared to be having fun with the character – but got a bit of an education from the script supervisor about ad libbing.
