In Theaters – September 16th, 2011

Gotta love that Ryan Gosling. He’s an actor who is equally at home in a thoughtful drama like Blue Valentine as he is in an action-adventure like Drive. And in Drive, Gosling plays a Hollywood stuntman who moonlights as a getaway driver, who discovers that a contract has been put on him after a heist gone wrong. Naturally, he tries to out run and outmaneuver the gangsters tailing him.

This nail-biter of a pic co-stars Carey Mulligan, Bryan Cranston, Albert Brooks, Christina Hendricks and Ron Perlman.

I Don’t Know How She Does It stars Sarah Jessica Parker as Kate Reddy, a finance exec who is the chief head of household for her husband and two children. Of course, Kate is working over time to balance all aspects of her life.

The comedy also stars Pierce Brosnan and Christina Hendricks (whose career is currently on fire).

If you’re going to remake a flick, it’s probably not a smart idea to remake an action film that legendary action director Sam Peckinpah originally helmed. But, tossing caution to the wind, Director/Writer Rod Lurie has attempted to do just that with this updated version of Straw Dogs. Why? Who knows?

This version takes place in the deep South rather than England and instead of Dustin Hoffman and Susan George, the pic stars James Marsden and Kate Bosworth.

Watch the original.

If you are a fan of The Lion King, you’re going to probably love The Lion King 3D. It’s the same great story, filled with memorable and yes, Oscar-winning tunes from Elton John and Tim Rice. However, for the re-release Disney has turned their animated take on Hamlet into a 3D adventure.
